Horned Poppy and Sea Kale Year

Made using traditional true gesso (animal protein size and chalk) on a recovered piece of wood from the site. This is slowly built up in many layers integrating site material (horned poppy seeds for example) and watercolour. The surface is sealed to protect the sensitive surface from humidity and dust.

I have chosen to present this simply mirror plated on the wall…but this could be discussed.
