Shelling Shrimps

Drawing in the streets without drawing attention to oneself wasnt easy…and some artists are fine with it but Im more comfortable anonymously observing.I had a pouch in front of me with paper and tools and I drew freely taking a sheet out and drawing as I walked and looked. I took the work back to my room and then went out again with it until I felt I’d finished. Chennai. India. January 2010. Watercolour and earth on handmade cotton rag indian paper. 16x12cm.
